This surprise proposal had been planning this surprise for weeks, carefully choosing the perfect spot in downtown New Orleans where the moment would unfold. The idea was simple yet perfect: an intimate corner of the city, surrounded by all the character that makes New Orleans so special. I arrived early to get everything in place, excited for the moment myself.
The Big Moment
When the time came, the world seemed to pause. The look on her face said it all—joy, shock, and then that overwhelming rush of love. She said yes, of course, and the quiet streets erupted into their own kind of celebration: laughter, happy tears, and the glow of stepping into forever.
Celebrating the “Yes”
After the proposal, we wandered through downtown for some just-engaged portraits. These are always some of my favorite moments to capture because the emotions are so fresh and authentic. There’s nothing quite like photographing love that’s still buzzing from a “yes” only minutes before. Their gallery feels like New Orleans itself—vibrant, romantic, and unforgettable.
